Hello Cubs, Cub Families, and Cub Staff,

My name is Jose Garcia and I am your Dean of Students.  I am thrilled to get to know all of our new students, new families, and staff. I am looking forward to building a strong community.  It is of the utmost importance that you as parents and we as educators team up to better serve our students. With tailored guidance, correct tools, and home support our students can, and will, have tremendous success.  I love the diversity that our school brings and feel that it is a source of strength for our community.  If past years’ success is any indication of our future, we will have strong students both academically and Socially-Emotional.

As a retired United States Navy Senior Chief, I have spent my career mentoring Junior Sailors through their career milestones.  I took the time to get to know their families and individual circumstances in order to foster their growth and development.  These experiences have prepared me to mindfully and compassionately provide mentorship and guidance to Crescent Harbor Elementary students and families.

Every student deserves to be inspired through his or her education regardless of their background.  I believe that positive school experiences have the power to truly transform the lives of students and their families.

I leave you with my three basic student expectations;

1.       Be safe.
2.       Want to come to school.
3.       Have fun while learning.

It is a great honor for me to serve our community as your Dean of Students.  I am looking forward to a successful and remarkable year.
