CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

Exciting things have been happening on site the first two weeks of October. The crew is excavating for the large brace frame footings.  Preparation work has begun on the new road, and the building pad is almost finished. The playground equipment has been removed and stored until it gets installed in its new location. We are so excited to see the progress Tiger is making in our new school.

HERES WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE ON SITE:

Gravel pad construction continues on site.

Excavation started for the large brace frame footings in the first quadrant.

Rebar arrived to reinforce the concrete for the footings.

The first week of October reminded us that the rainy season is coming soon.

Excavation and road preparation for the bus lanes.

A stormwater retention pond under construction.

More construction offices are now on site.

A Construction worker checking plans to make sure everything is laid out correctly.

Foundation excavation has been occurring and forming for the concrete footings.

Brace frame footings have been formed and reinforced. Brace frames are large steel frames that will give the new building side-to-side strength during an earthquake.

WHAT'S NEXT?

The first concrete pour will occur next week and it is anticipated that 18 trucks worth of concrete will be used.

Underground piping will start being installed in the next week or so.

OCTOBER 22ND @1:30PM - Groundbreaking ceremony! ALL INVITED!!
