CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

The Crescent Harbor Elementary construction is continuing to move forward. The utilities have been laid down and are beginning to be covered by concrete. You can now see the concrete floor of the first-floor wing! The outline for the exterior walls is visible, showing the size of the entire school!

Here's what it looks like on site:

At the Southeast wing, an electrical conduit has being installed under the slab area.

The capillary break gravel was placed the first week of November in this wing with a telebelt.

The first week of November saw the buckouts installed in preparation for the upcoming concrete slab pour.

Waste plumbing line installation is underway.

Concrete pours are happening quite frequently as Tiger pushes forward with the foundations.

School Board President Lynn Goebel and Superintendent Michelle Kuss-Cybula joined CSG Project Manager Ken Kuiken for a construction tour in November. It is truly exciting to see the amazing progress made by Tiger Construction as they rapidly move forward with multiple facets of construction in different areas all at the same time!

The slab pour at the Southeast wing went very well and the concrete looks great! Expansion joints were cut in the slab soon after the concrete started setting up. It’s a great feeling to be out of the gravel and to be able to walk around on the slab.

The crane has been mobilized on to the site in preparation for erection of the steel structure. That work should be starting within the next few weeks.

By utilizing a large force of carpenters, laborers, site equipment operators, electricians, plumbers, and other construction workers, Tiger Construction has people staged and working in almost every section of the building all at the same time.

This photo with the two carpenters shows the massive size and scale of one of the large concrete brace frame footings that are interspersed throughout the new school.

This photo shows the elevator pit concrete forming underway. This northeast wing of the school will be the second slab poured within the next few weeks.

Very large stormwater and sanitary sewer structures recently arrived on site.
