CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

Wow!!

Seeing the progress Tiger Construction and subcontractors are making to the new CHE school, we can only be amazed.

February brought cold wintery weather, however, it hasn't seemed to slow down our site. Progress has been made on the steel shell of the school, with the front section of the school. The second floor has areas of completed flooring, and areas ready for concrete to be poured. We can now begin to imagine the size and scope of the new school and the amazing building being built for our students and future students at Crescent Harbor Elementary.

We thank all the amazing construction workers for putting in the hours in all weather.

Here's what it looks like on site:

01-28-2025 Concrete pour in cold weather at west first floor.

The building structure is looking good in the background as the concrete finishing is completed in this area.

This area on the first floor under the main electrical room is full of electrical conduits.

This is the piping stubbed up into the mechanical room that comes from the geo-thermal wells.

A drone photo taken from the southeast corner of the site.

Temporary walls are installed to keep the heat under the 2nd floor in preparation for a 2nd floor concrete pour.

Steel is going up on the Northeast section of the building.

Here you can see the hexagonal shape of the new school's entrance. This area will be the future front office.

Looking down the main corridor after entering through the main entrance. The hallways will be the last part of the flooring to have concrete poured. This will prevent the floor from being scratched or damaged with all the on-site machinery.

Another view of the Northeast section.

2nd floor concrete pour on 02-12-2025, and 2nd floor concrete finishing.

Standing in the main corridor of the 2nd floor. This part of the 2nd floor has yet to be poured with concrete.

2nd floor looking down to the main entrance vestibule.

The next area on the 2nd floor deck has electrical and mechanical penetrations placed in preparation for the next concrete pour.

Some classrooms will be lucky enough to have this scenic water view.

This picture show the corner of the kitchen and the raised area is the stage.

This photo shows both the Southeast wing and the Northeast wing of the building along with the courtyard in between.

Steel has arrived for the West wing and erection has started.

The gym and the commons.

The gap in the ceiling where the main staircase to the second floor will go.

A construction worker controls his equipment from the man lift to complete work on the outside of the 2nd floor ceiling.

The piping manifolds for the geo-thermal wells are now in place and are being pressure tested.

The back section of the school has begun to be framed. The new subcontractor on site doing the framing is GK Knutson out of Ferndale WA and locally owned.

Installing HVAC.

The week of Feb 24th students had the opportunity to sign a steel beam to be used in the new school.
