CONSTRUCTION UPDATE


At the beginning of April, CHE staff got a chance to tour the site with Tex. KOMO news was also shooting on the site on April 16th, you can see the full interview here:

The building roof is now fully covered, and the exterior fiberglass continues progressing around the building. All 3 staircases have been installed in the building, making access to the 2nd floor easier. The 110th and final geothermal well was completed during the last week of April. We are all so impressed with the progress of the construction. Thank you, Tiger/Pearson, for all you do!


Here's what it looks like on site:

The picture shows the stage above the commons area. To the right of the stage will be the Kitchen.

The gym and commons are now roofed over.


One of the 3 stairwells in the new school. User friendly, but not fully complete.


Staff move through the construction site. Look at the size of the corridors between classrooms!


Contractors are working hard each and every day.


KOMO news was on site interviewing and shooting video on April 16.


The final interior concrete pour was completed this month for the commons and the last hallways that will have a ground concrete finish.


Mr. Garcia walks the site on April 25th, and is excited to check out his new office.


The office corridor is taking shape.


The view of the playground will be visible from the new staff lounge.


Electrical, plumbing and HVAC work is rapidly progressing on the south east wing.


The upstairs corridors are just as spacious as the 1st floor.


Contractors start the brick façade at the back of the building.


The architect inspects the insulation panels and masonry installation.


The new permanent fence has started to be installed at the south of the site.

In this picture you can see the beginning of the maintenance area that will lead to the loading dock.

Aerial image taken via drone from the North East on April 25, 2025. Building roof is fully covered with initial water resistant membrane and insulation is stacked in preparation for multi-layer installation.


The initial roof membrane is now installed on the complete school.


This photo was taken from the South West and shows stud wall framing, exterior fiberglass board, exterior water resistant membrane and brick scaffolding.


Exterior fiberglass board and water resistant membrane are installed in the courtyard between classroom wings.


The 110th and final geo-thermal well was completed this last week. Now the underground piping from the wells is being connected to the building mechanical room.
